Mission
Our mission is to advocate for the basic housing rights of all citizens. We believe that it is the responsibility of the government to provide appropriate and affordable housing for all Taiwanese citizens.
Core Belief
Access to housing is a basic right of citizens. Individuals struggling against social inequality have the same basic rights to independent living and housing as all other citizens.
Vision
We envision a society where all people, including those currently struggling against social inequality, have a place where they call “home,” and become contributing members of the community.
Whom We Serve
TCLC exists to serve those who are socially and economically disadvantaged (individuals struggling against social inequality), including low-income families, single-parent families, abused children, victims of domestic violence, the elderly, and the disabled. At present, our goal is to promote mainstreamed community-based living for people with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Poverty and disability should not cause the denial of one’s aspiration to have a “home”.
Fair Housing Rights – Giving people the strength to break the barriers of inequality and disability. |
